Maine Music with host j.p. nickerson

 J.P. Nickerson was born and raised in the great state of Maine in the small riverside town of Winterport. His family had a huge love of music in all forms and as a child he was exposed to music at an early age. The youngest of 7 siblings, his family formed a band called the 3 Nick's during the late 1950’s and early 1960’s. J.P. followed in his older siblings footsteps joining his first musical band in 1967. He continued to perform across Maine into the 1980’s. J.P. started a professional D.J. business in Maine that he ran for many years up until 2020. J.P.’s love of music has resulted in him attending 100’s of live concerts across Maine and the U.S.A.  J.P. will be interviewing Maine’s professionals in the music industry, covering bands, song writers, music store owners and radio station professionals. J.P. currently resides in Bangor, Maine, where he is a co-owner and head designer for the Maine Knife Company.  In his spare time J.P. enjoys spending time with his children, grandchildren , family members and his animals.
