Mainely Matters Travel & Tourism with Brian Bickford

Brian Bickford is a Mainer.  He was raised on the coast of Falmouth where he developed a respect for the ocean and its accessibility to other regions of the state and world.  Maine made him inquisitive.  After graduating from Portland High School he joined the United States Air Force.  That is where he began his travel lust for exploring. Brian began with living and working in Japan, traveling the region and exploring Asia for the next seven years. He leveraged that experience and his two Master Degrees in Business and Technology to own companies and work for global organizations.  He lived and worked in Siberia Russia, from St. Petersburg to Khabarovsk, as well as set up outsource technology centers and businesses in India, United Kingdom and through out Europe.  He has held posts as CEO of cruise and land excursion companies and most recently as Managing Director of the first collaborative security firm for the cruise and land excursion sector in Europe.  He is a photographer, a published author and social media expert.  He is the Editor of Maine World, a leading Facebook channel featuring videos and images of life in Maine.
