About the host John Joseph Brier, Jr.

John has lived full or part-time in Maine for over 40-years.  John is a graduate of the University of Maine (Orono) class of 1988, where he earned a B.S. in Business.  John is noted as one of the top 25 most influential graduates in the history of The University of Maine for his pioneering work in the internet broadcasting sector in the late 1990's.  John earned his M.B.A. from Thomas College, Waterville, Maine, in 1995 after serving in the U.S. Army as a Warrant Officer.  John also served in the Massachusetts National Guard.  John founded the long running Virginia Jackson Scholarship Fund at Scarborough High School, and he is the founder of the Katie Jane Rocks organization non-profit that benefits children in need in 3 countries, including the state of Maine.  John currently serves as CEO of a technology company, which has become the largest lottery data provider in the world working with 100's of clients including Amazon Alexa, Google, Yahoo!, Verizon, Univision, and 100's of newspaper, radio and television stations across the country. John has previously served as an Executive Director of the Big Brothers / Big Sisters organization of Manchester, New Hampshire, as well as the Executive Director of the Androscoggin County Community Justice  Program run by the University of Southern Maine.  John is the founder of Camp Dirigo, an 88.5 acre property along the banks of the Kennebec River in Solon, Maine, which is currently being developed as veterans fishing camp. John currently resides in Florida and Maine with his daughter's Katie and Cristina where he coaches youth track and youth softball.
